- The Tournament Director is the ADA for that division, or if none, the DA.
- The Tournament Director is usually the ADA for that division, or if none, the DA.
- Sets the dates for the tournament.
- Conducts the draw at a district meeting and prepares the schedule using the approved format and in consultation with the host league.
- Supervises each game and ensures that it is being played according to the rules and policies.
- Verifies line-ups against affidavits.
- Keeps the pitching records.
- Deals with any protests that may arise, etc.
- Assisted by the District Umpire-in-Chief, meets with managers and coaches before the tournament begins. (The Umpire-in-Chief schedules umpires for all games.)
- Sets up the PA system for each game (usually provided by the district).
- The four district baseball tournaments are hosted by the leagues on a rotating schedule.
- The Tournament Chairman is the host league volunteer who is responsible for organizing the venue for each day of the tournament.
- Provides volunteers to groom and line the field before each game and after rain delays.
- Field must be ready one-half hour before the first scheduled game of the day.
- Provides a volunteer or volunteers to be scorekeeper and PA announcer for each game.
- Each tournament is partially funded by the Host League and partially by the District.

- The host league must book a suitable field for the duration of the tournament and pay any fees associated with this.
- The field MUST be the correct dimensions and MUST have an outfield fence. It does not have to have a grass infield or covered dugouts. It should be in as good playing condition as possible.
- The host league provides a washroom (or Go-Hut) for the duration of the tournament and pays any charges for this.
- Sets up, stocks, and runs a concession selling hot dogs, hamburgers, drinks, etc. Keeps any profits realized.
- The host league may pass the traditional sand pail and may run a 50-50 draw at each game and keep any profits from either of these activities.
- PAID FOR BY DISTRICT
- Purchases baseballs and scorebooks for the district tournaments, etc.
- Purchases District 6 pins for all participants.
- Purchases LL Canada pins for the winning teams.
- Pays the LL Canada Tournament entry fee for each league, the Provincial (Divisional) tournament entry fee for the district winner, and the Canadian (Regional) entry fee if our district team wins the Provincial tournament.
- Pays the $40.00 per-game assessment to Little League Canada (does not apply to Minor).
- Provides the trophies for each district level winner as required.
- Provides extra pins for district level winner to take to the Provincials, etc.
